Il Filo dei Pensieri

The Women's Project was born in Albania by the will of AVSI org, sponsored by the foundation Rozafa to give to certain groups of women the possibility of starting a small business manufacturing, using the abilities and skills in working that are purely feminine.

Providing work to laboratories of Women Project means helping women to rebuild their self-awareness and their membership of society, such as useful means to allow them to remain in their country, maintain their children, help their family safe from the risk of any kind of exploitation, that for Albanian women is a sad "tradition" still suffered in our nowadays.
It 's the name of the creative synergetic project that includes different types of handmade articles. The thread, female heritage, has always exercised a special, magical attraction.
In mythology, fairy tales, legends, there are many female figures, whose history is tied to a thread.

Il Filo dei Pensieri wants to stress the importance of the thread, as primary material for female labour, material which is necessary to create textile items necessary to everyday life.
Il Filo dei Pensieri has another important meaning: thin thread as a track to follow, to find the way. It is a bond, collaboration among women, communication and friendship among people from different countries, hope for a brighter future.
And also the succession of free and secret thoughts, thoughts to share because common to all women in the world.

All this and much more, is closely related to warps and wefts, stitch, embroidery, lace light.
